Spelling "friend'

Spelling using visualisation involves three steps: First, I look at the word. Then, cover the word and form a mental picture of the word.


Now you try it. Here s an example:


Look at word Take a pretend photo.

Cover the word Form a mental picture.

Now close your eyes Look up left and see the word.

How many letters are there? (= 6)

Are there any vowels? (yes = 2: ie)

What colour are the vowels? (i and e are red in friend)

Are there more letters before / after the vowel(s)? (2-ie-2)

Are there any tall letters? (yes = 2 friend )

Are there any descending letters, e.g., g, j, or y? (no = 0)

Say the letters in the word out loud? (f-r-i-e-n-d)

Spell it backwards: (d-n-e-i-r-f)

Spell it forwards: (f-r-i-e-n-d)
