Corona Virus and Its Detrimental Effects on Education
How can we survive education after the pandomy of Corona virus? No one could ever think of the drastic effects which Corona virus has impinged on our lives. It has deleteriously inflicted the individual s lifestyle in various manners and education is not an exception to this. All the efforts the educators had put on fostering a stream in which the individuals could raise their level of thinking and understanding of the world in different fields of science and disposing the learners toward learning, have been evanescing since the emergence of the gravest pandomy of the century, Corona virus. The spread of this virus led to passing of strict laws restricting the commute of individuals and social distancing. It caused the temporary closing of educational places across the globe. In the initial stage, these places had been supposed to be closed for a short while. Notwithstanding, this temporary closing of educational places turned out to be long enough to exert its pernicious influences on the efforts of millions of educators around the world which selflessly dedicated to the learners community in order to constitute the foundation of a better society.Educating individuals is not a short-term process and demands an intricate scientific planning to take place. There are miscellaneous factors and principles essential for the occurrence of a successful learning process. One of them is discipline. Human is prone to error and simplicity. It has been scientifically proven that were there not to be restrictors and conductors, individuals would not generally tend to stick to a well-organized schedule and principles of constructive planning of lifestyle. They, in most of the cases, after a while of being aloof from education, go out of the track of learning and instead of keeping their studies, not just to achieve good grades but to make a better one, start doing what they had been banned or confined on which are truly transient pleasure, such as spending their invaluable time with their friends doing frivolous and trifling things, such as going out, partying, etc. this is what causes the dwindle of the progressions the individuals have made in their studies and life. The more they stay out of the schedule of studies, the more indolent they become. I, with more than 8 years of experience of ESL teaching in on-hand classrooms, among more than forty thousand learners, have witnessed that after vacations, the dominant portion of the learners deteriorate in performance and it takes a couple of sessions to make amends for this setback. When I put this lag forward to my colleagues, we got to the unanimous verdict on the fact that not participating regularly in classes, undoubtedly, results in the depreciation of their achievements in the sphere of their studies. Comparing a couple of sessions to more than a month of not being in the class, even while considering the online ones, I discern that beyond the shadows of doubt, we as educators have to be prepared for our learners weak performance in comparison to their own previous status. This lag in performance impedes the educators and the classes from progressing. Consequently, the educators cannot keep the same pace in educating as they used to. On the other side of this spectrum, participating in real-time classes disposes the learners toward having social communication and interacting with other individuals. This makes the learners mental status calm and appeased. A kind of satisfaction is brought to the individual after having an amiable communication with a friend. Corona virus has confined the learners to staying home and this not having in-person interaction has the consequence of their depression. Depression is what ends up in isolation and not having the tendency toward doing daily chores, not to mention their studies. Being dismayed and hapless, the learners cannot focus on their future goals whose requirements are studies and the achievements they make today. This is something applying literally long-term negative impacts on the future of the society since the foundation of the future society is today s learners community. The burden of the responsibility of saving the future of the world and our next generations is placed on educators shoulders and we as educators must play the most influential role in the 21th century. Provided that after the lift of the restrictions and reopening of the educational places, the educators were not successful in giving incentive to learners in the way that they get back to the track of efficient learning again, the next generations would certainly go through an unknown future which is replete with mismanagement. The trauma of Corona virus is not something healing within a short while. It demands dedication of time, energy, and money. Consequently, the educators have to be their most patient since they are going to face the majority of the learners at their worst. The next thing of which we must be aware is the fear of public (Agoraphobia) that Corona virus has imposed on individuals. On account of the spread of this virus, individuals have been staying home in isolation so that they not become infected. This fear capable of importuning individuals to stay home, makes the learners afraid of participating in group activities which they had been doing for a long time and is one of the principles of learning. This participation in groups is useful in several dimensions from psychological to social to educational. When the learners become afraid of participation, a huge portion of learning becomes impugned. Class activities are one of the main interactive patterns to which educators resort while trying to dispose the learners toward a meaningful and communicative learning. Now that this interactive pattern has been tarnished, we have to devise new strategies to invent new style of interactive pattern in which safety procedures have been considered. This deed does indeed demand trial and tribulation. Executing trial and tribulation at the stage subsequent to the pandomy of Corona virus in which the learners have been through the isolation, dejection, and the agoraphobia resulted from this virus, will potentially debilitate the quality of education and its outcome since it hinders the pace of the progression the educators used to be at. Another issue we must heed is performing the safety procedures with the view to deterrence of the spread of Corona virus. As long as the individuals do not feel safe, they definitely refrain from participating in a community. The agoraphobia caused by the spread of Corona virus, is such a big affliction education has received. Equipping educational places and abiding by safety procedures take a huge fund of money, energy, and labor work. On the other hand, Corona virus has assigned considerably negative effects on economic status of individuals, corporations, firms, etc. Hence, to high extent, this is a formidable task to accomplish. Not all places in the world have the potency to compensate for the damage and follow the safety procedures. In the majority of the underprivileged spots of the world, education continues to preserve the decrease of the quality until the time, the unconscious of the learners be depleted from Corona phobia and the agoraphobia originated from it. Dragging and maintaining learners attention had always been a challenge for all educators even before the Corona phobia when the learners were not concerned with Corona virus, nothing to say about now when learners are distraught with it. One of the gravest challenge educators are going to face with, is the responsibility of preserving learners safety and health. We have to ascertain that all learners obey the safety procedures. Otherwise, we had far better let them stay home and descend to distance-learning. Reminding the learners to abide by the safety procedures has the negative consequence of their being nervous and distracted. This is literally the most critical circumstance with which we are faced. On the ground of this, it is high time educators put new eyes on constitution of new approaches of distance-learning and try to empower their skills in teaching such kind of classes. This would be something incomparably easier to perpetrate rather than trying to disinfect the educational places and procuring the safety equipment alongside reminding the learners to stick to the safety procedures. Time is gold and what counts is making the most and the best out of the time we have. Corona virus has afflicted the societies in all manners and education is included. Opting for something which is not completely good but reasonable, when there is a worse, is more logical than taking the worse. In the current situation, improving distance-learning is far more rational than opening the educational places. To recapitulate, the aspects in which we have been affected by Corona virus are literally wide and making atone for its harms and damages requires a substantial amount of efforts and dedication in different terms. We have to revive discipline, bring back impetus to learners, dispose of agoraphobia eventuated from Corona virus, perform the safety procedures, and take the burden of guaranteeing the learners safety. Coincidentally, we have to invest in distance-learning as an alternative to real-time classes so that we, to high extent, considering the current condition on which we are, eliminate the learners Corona phobia. As a result, we attain a better outcome and feedback of the class. Without the slightest doubts, the burden of preserving the future of the next generation has been left up to the educators shoulders, since we are responsible for bringing the learners back to the track of studying, learning, and progression.This resource was uploaded by: Misaq
