"Maths is all around us!" as the saying goes. How true do you think this statement is? Well, here are some interesting maths facts that you won`t normally come across in class. Be prepared to be amazed! l
1. If you write out pi to two decimal places (i.e. 3.14), it spells "pie" after you reflect it with a mirror.
2. Every odd number has an e in it.
3. "Four" is the only number in English that is spelt with the same number of letters as the number itself.
4. From 0 to 1000, "one thousand" is the only number that has the letter "a" in it.
5. A pizza that has radius "z" and height "a" has volume Pi z z a.
6. "Forty" is the only number that is spelt with letters arranged in alphabetical order.
7. "One" is the only number that is spelt with letters arranged in descending order.
