London Biology Teacher

I`m currently a student applying for a Russell Group University. I enjoy teaching other students and believe I can help them reach their potential using my skills and techniques which are modified to the students` choice.My previous experience of tutoring include KS2/3, Eleven Plus (all exam boards), GCSE and AS students. Have recently finished my A levels therefore I am currently up to date with the specification and marking styles of the exam board. I have tutored mainly AQA students but I believe most exam boards are similar in terms of content so I am willing to teach other exam boards too. The average success rate (i.e the grade or level wanted by the tutee) is: 90.5% The subjects I teach: Biology: Primary, Secondary, GCSE, and A levels (as and a2) Chemistry: same as above Physics: Primary, Seconday and GCSE Maths: Primary, Secondary and GCSE Entrance exams: 11+, and other. My approach to tutoring has been built up from my many tutoring experiences. I have a range of pupils who have all learnt in different ways and strategies. I believe it is important to firstly listen to the aims and targets of the student and understand their weaknesses initially and build on their strengths. I also adapt my teaching to the students needs. Therefore I can provide a wide range of resources such as worksheets, revision timetable, lots of notes, booklets of tips and tricks and many more. My main aim to help the tutor understand the concepts so they don`t have to memorise too much and help to apply their knowledge so that they can tackle any exam question scenario whilst feeling confidants. That`s why I use a lot of past exam questions and mini tests to help reinforce their learning. Lastly I`m always available for the student to email me any questions or queries in between lessons.
