Learning a foreign language can sometimes be a daunting experience. If you approach this new experience with the curiosity of a child you will get far more out of it.In my lessons, I first try to find out more about my student. Its reasons for wanting to know Italian, his/her Visions and so on. Considering the needs that we are off to learn lots about Italian s life and particularly when you come to conversational classes you will learn with me the different language levels that are used in my Country, traditions, costumes, ethics so that when you do enter the Country you are in for a full immersion that you can enjoy. One never finishes learning but when you have your good bases ( ideally you want to have a knowledge of 1000 words to strike a basic conversation) then it will all make sense. I have lived in the UK for 23 years and I do know too well what all of the process means. I am also fluent in French ( in fact I have a BA Hons Degree in Languages) so I have certainly "experienced" learning a foreign language more than once both with teachers at school and with travelling & living in France and Germany with all the dos and donts. I have found that having a passion certainly helps with memory and new words. Grammar can certainly come in at some point but please do not get put off by it. If you are open minded and you want to experience Italy with its Regions, Landscapes, Religious Traditions and not, Food, Drinks, Interests and so on with me you are in for a treat! You will get much more than just learning how to ask for an " Espresso " - A presto!
