Learning Management Tool for Romanian Language

Romanian is a wonderful language that can express words in a quite easy way although seems difficult from a grammatical point of view. It is considered one of the most musical romance languages. I would like to propose a learning management tool for studying Romanian: 1.Find a Romanian teacher with a fluent level of English or of your native language. This is a must, because Romanian grammar is very difficult to grasp, even for native speakers. 2.Get accustomed to the Romanian alphabet and pronunciation. In Romanian words are spelled just like they`re written. Much attention to the stress on syllables. It`s quite tricky. Getting a Romanian-to-Romanian dictionary and looking up some words just to see how the stress falls on syllables is very helpful. I always add to my audio lessons transcri pts highlighting the word stress. 3. Get accustomed to the Romanian specific characters: "a"; "î" or "â" (both sound the same), "s", and "t". Practice reading them properly in texts. "a" is pronounced /?/, like the ending of flower, pronounced with a British accent; "î" or "â" both correspond to the sound /?/. There is no equivalent sound in English phonetics; "s" is pronounced "sh" in "sheep" (sound /?/); "t" is pronounced /?/ 4. Use the dictionaries and learn 20 new Romanian words a week. Write them in a list in your notebook and say them aloud until you memorize them. This will help expanding your vocabulary. I also recommended charts for verb tenses, noun genres and adjectives. At more advanced levels : 6. Learning Romanian Grammar through texts, conversation , oral and written exercises. 7. Learn Romanian expressions, proverbs, quotes and use them in conversation. 8. Listen to Romanian radio, watch short Romanian movies with subtitles in the learners` native language. 9. Enjoy the beauty of Romanian language through literature, art, history, traditions articles. The advanced learners will be able to speak fluently, some of them would like to translate texts, publish their own stories, etc.
