We categorize people as being creative or non-creative. And many of us are generally inclined to fit ourselves in the latter group. In its literal form, creative means the ability to create - say an idea or expression.

In reality, we see that children indulge in the most imaginary conversations, really unique thoughts and questions, draw the strangest shapes, and call them anything that comes to their imagination. As we grow older to become adults, we tend to be a lot more formal, cautious and reserved in our approach.

Given a situation or purpose, every individual, has an idea, but perhaps unable to communicate it. Overcoming the challenge of expressing the idea is one of the steps to building confidence. And so the term creative confidence.

There are different approaches to achieve this. Stanford University's d.school was formed to develop the creativity of their students. Various strategies and projects are exercised to achieve this goal. We are here to build creative confidence in ourselves and in each other, never mind the role we play. This is certainly one of the ways we exercise, develop and excel in the ability to express our thoughts and ideas. Sometimes what helps is a a systematic approach, with the help of projects, try our ideas and develop our abilities to revive our creative confidence.

I was really fascinated when I read more about the various strategies that existed and that encourage us to rise and succeed. And I think it makes perfect sense when hear that we all are born creative, we just have varying degrees of creativity in us. It's never too late to rediscover your creative confidence.
