He had fallen behind at school and had lost confidence, so we wanted to get him back on track. We have been really happy with Paul. From day one he has been very friendly and approachable (although firm!) and our son has built up an excellent relationship with him in a very short period of time. Already we are seeing an improvement in his confidence. Paul has focused initially on identifying areas that our son specifically needs to work on, making sure that basics are covered with a view to building on this over time. He is excellent at praising him for his achievements which has helped to both motivate him and boost his confidence and feedback direct from my son is that he explains things really well.
