"Yinka served as an Academic Tutor in Biology, for two students in Year 12 (aged between 16 and 17) who were studying for A-level qualifications. Yinka typically met the students separately, for an hour each in a given week. On this programme Yinka demonstrated a very sound grasp of the biology discipline, explaining relatively complex ideas in a way that made them accessible for his students – this was evident from the feedback that students left for Yinka, both indicating that their subject knowledge had been strengthened since having begun their respective programmes of tuition. Yinka was able to build a strong rapport with his students, who were visibly engaged during their sessions, and was also able to create an environment for students where discussion and critical thought about science concepts was encouraged and facilitated."
