"It`s no easy task to teach someone another language, especially one so different to their native tongue. Persian has its own unique set of challenges and traps that make it a difficult task for anyone to learn, let alone a busy man after thirty like myself. Shabnam isn`t the first person I`ve asked for help, but where others failed, she excels. Her teaching methods are tailored to what I am after. The mark of a great teacher - she understands my pace and capabilities, and always keeps pushing me so I make the most out of our lessons. Remarkably patient and kind, she nevertheless ensures I remain on the right track, avoid bad linguistic habits, and that I gradually gain confidence. Those seemingly random syllables and strange sounds are beginning to be comprehensible now, and, to my amazement, I am able to express myself in Persian - perhaps like a child would, but I am confident I will get better, because, thanks to Shabnam, I consistently have been. I am going to Iran this year, and I know that I will be able to interact with the locals: talk to them, listen to them, surprise them, make them laugh. Every teacher`s nightmare for the past decades, I get bored and lose focus easily. But my Persian lessons with Shabnam are invariably fun, I`m able to keep attention, and always look forward to them. It`s much more than just learning a language - it`s a direct and personal connection with millennia of civilisation, heritage, and culture."

"Francis is currently tutoring my son for the 11plus exams.
We were late in arranging a tutor for the 11plus, we are so lucky to have found Francis as he immediately set up a plan to teach in short notice.
Francis is incredibly patient. He has my son engaged in every session. He has a true passion to teach and does that very well. He is invested in my son and has gone above and beyond to make sure my son is fully prepared to take the exams.
My son has not felt stressed at all, that is so important.
Couldn`t thank him enough.
Even I`ve learnt alot!
Highly recommend!"

"I was Suvan`s housemaster at Westminster School. He was a Queen`s Scholar, an academic distinction in its own right, and everything he did here lived up to the high expectations we had of him. He is phenomenally bright and hard-working, and cares very deeply about getting things right - surely some of the main characteristics of an excellent tutor. I recommend him to you without reservation."
