I have graduated from Kings College London with a 2.1 honors in Biochemistry and then did a masters at University of Nottingham to do Molecular Diagnostics. I am currently working a fully qualified teacher at a grammar school.
I have spent a lot of time in education and picked up many transferable skills including self directed learning, problem solving and analytical skills.
These have been very useful in helping me through higher education and I am hoping to be able to pass them on and aid other`s learning. I am, naturally, a very approachable person, and will never criticise someone for not knowing something. This is a vital characteristic for one-to-one tuition in that it allows me to very quickly develop a safe environment with openness and trust at the centre. This is combined with a high level of subject knowledge and experience as an examiner which allows me to identify a student’s strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted support in a positive way.
I am very proud of my achievements in mainstream education, and the decision to leave to pursue private tuition was not taken lightly.
I have previous experience of working with children in key stage 3, 4 and 5. My aims during lessons are to provide a professional yet enjoyable environment which is condusive to learning.
