I am a qualified teacher and former head of department with extensive experience teaching a range of ages, subjects and abilities.

After graduating from Oxford University with a high 2:1 in PPE (Philosophy Politics and Economics) I entered teaching and completed my training at the University of Buckingham and Bethnal Green Academy with a result of ‘Outstanding in all areas’.

After several happy years in schools, I am now taking some time to pursue freelance opportunities.

As a tutor, I particularly enjoy teaching A-Level Economics, A-Level Politics and A-Level Drama, and my students have gained excellent exam results and provided rewarding personal feedback. I am a very outgoing, warm, communicative person with a good sense of humour and a great deal of patience.

Availability: Day times and weekday evenings are preferable. I am available for intensive tutoring during school holidays. I am also set-up for tutoring remotely via Skype.

Seven years` teaching experience, including three years as a head of department;
Extensive tutoring experience in a range of A-Level & GCSE subjects, helping numerous students achieve outstanding results.

APPROACH:

Once I`ve assessed a student`s current level in the subject during our first session, I construct a programme of work with content goals, objectives and key dates before commencing the main programme of work.

I differentiate to every student`s current ability, learning style and any special educational needs and aim to ensure content is consolidated before moving on to new topics, whilst continually revisiting previous work.

Students will accumulate a bank of resources through my sessions, many of which I have created over my years of teaching.
