I am a qualified teacher with a BA in English and Comparative Literature, an MA in Shakespeare and a doctorate in literature and drama. I am a friendly and patient tutor,interested in helping individuals achieve their best in exams and widen their appreciation of reading and writing. I have a wide experience of working with students from primary to undergraduate levels. I have taught in universities, adult education and in schools and colleges.

I am also a creative person, knowledgeable about visual arts and the theatre as well as a published writer of articles, novels and short stories..

Availability: Monday to Saturday inclusive. In view of the developing sitaution with the Covid-19, all my lessons will be online.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I lectured in English literature, including critical theory, drama and media for fifteen years on degree courses as well as in adult education. For eight years, I taught A-level and GCSE English at a sixth form college and for the past five years I have been working with lower secondary students and with those studying English GCSE and A-level English.
