Hello! I am an Oxford University English graduate with an MA and a partially completed PhD in English. I have 10 years of teaching experience, from 11 plus all the way up to Oxbridge and University applications.

I have a flexible and engaging teaching style and my goal is to go `beyond` the subject where appropriate, as well working towards the pursuit of excellence in examination results. I support and challenge each student to achieve the best that they can, and I teach flexibly to help develop skills and aptitude for the subject. Revision, essay writing and preparation, reading and organisation are issues which I commonly address. With bespoke teaching materials tailored to each individual student, and clear guidance and support, my students go on to improve their essay writing, their results, and their understanding of the subject.

I am able to provide both long and short term support for Oxbridge and University preparation, A Level, IB and GCSE, and entrance examinations at 11 and 13 plus. At 11 and 13 plus I have extensive experience of preparation for schools including St Paul`s Girls, Godolphin, LEH, Putney, Eton, Winchester and Tiffin, amongst others.

I am familiar with the set texts and requirements of most exam boards, and remember what it was like to take exams myself! Every student who sees me will have a study plan, and where appropriate, a reading list to develop `beyond` what they are currently studying. For those looking for challenges beyond the syllabus I have particular areas of expertise in the Nineteenth and Twentieth century, as well as Literary Theory, and Renaissance Literature.

• Expertise at GCSE and A Level. Experience of most exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Marked improvement - sometimes by many grades - in the students that I have worked with.
