I am a qualified primary teacher with a DBS check in Havering. My specialism is for Key Stage 1 but also have knowledge for key stage 2. I have had experience of working in the inner London borough of Newham where there is a high ratio of SEND and EAL children. I am a full time teacher currently leading SEN, EAL,Phonics, PSHE and RSE within an East London Infant School. I am positive in my teaching approach and all of my children progress very well to achieve the expected level or greater depth in their Key stage 1 SATS. I am able to teach reading through Phonics using Jolly Phonics or Read Write Inc. Having previously lead a school in their Phonics provision I am confident that I will be able to ensure that your child will be able to pass their Phonics Screening Check will occurs in Year 1. As a tutor, my priorities are to ensure that children progress rapidly and enjoy their learning. Often 1:1 tutoring is very intense therefore it is imperative that it is also fun for the child too.

Availability: I am available from 6 onwards during the evenings in term time. I can also cover weekends should this be needed.

Out of term time, any time any day and can also cover weekends for online tutoring.

Experience: I am able to teach all subjects in the primary curriculum. I am familiar with the Read Write inc and jolly phonics approach to teaching English and use the national strategies to teach Maths. I am able to adapt my practice to suit each individual. I am able to work with SEND children and EAL children through a use of visual prompts and a PECS system.
