Teaching Approach: I use a holistic approach with a variety of learning styles to suit the learner with materials tailored to the client`s needs. Lessons are highly interactive with the onus on the student to use the language as often as possible. I often use total immersion coaching (use of target language only). Some rote-learning of grammar and new vocabulary is required for the learner to progress. I do offer long distance support via Skype etc., however one to one in my opinion is usually the more effective way of acquiring a new language. The same holistic approach applies Psychology & Sociology.

Volker is an amazing tutor who really takes time in helping you not only with the subject specific needs such as exam technique and grammar skills, but also with breathing exercises and positive affirmations. I have really enjoyed working with Volker so far and he is extremely flexible so don`t worry about trying to fit in a session with him.

Volker is a great teacher who goes out of his way to assess what the student most needs to improve their German.
The entire lesson is conducted in German, which is exactly what`s needed if your aim is to become competent with using the language in an everyday setting and improve your listening and speaking skills.
Volker is patient and takes time to clearly explain mistakes and, crucially,how to recognise and correct your own mistakes.
I`d highly recommend Volker to anyone who is serious about improving their German in a relaxed but stretching atmosphere.
