Norma

I am a native Spanish speaker with around 20 years of teaching experience, working with children, teenagers and adults of different ages, abilities and backgrounds.
My approach is highly personalised. I tailor every lesson to the individual student, taking into account their level, confidence, goals and preferred way of learning. Whether someone is starting from scratch, needs support with school Spanish, wants to improve their conversation skills or simply wants to become more confident speaking the language, I adapt my teaching to help them make meaningful progress.
Most of my teaching experience has been with KS1, KS2 and KS3 students, although I am happy to teach all ages and levels.
I believe the best way to learn a language is in an environment where students feel comfortable, encouraged and able to enjoy the process. My lessons are engaging, practical and easy to follow, using clear and effective teaching techniques to develop vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and conversational confidence.
I specialise in one-to-one and small-group tuition, as this allows me to give students more individual attention and create lessons that are focused, interactive and productive.
Learning Spanish is much more than memorising words and grammar rules. It gives students the opportunity to connect with different cultures, communicate with people around the world and develop a skill they can use for life.
For younger learners in particular, starting early can help them absorb the language naturally, develop clearer pronunciation and build confidence from the beginning.
My aim is simple: to make Spanish enjoyable, accessible and rewarding, while helping every student feel confident in their ability to communicate.
