I am an experienced English teacher who has also worked as a journalist, college lecturer and in marketing.

Recently, I have been teaching English from KS3-GCSE at secondary schools in Surrey and Berkshire. My specialism is GCSE and I have been working with those trying to catch up after Covid.

I work with many different abilities, students in need of a confidence boost, those with dyslexia or dyspraxia and science-minded students including many on the Autistic Spectrum, who need to have a clear guide to access the creative side of English. I find this also helps ADHD and ADD students.

Experience: With over 20 years experience as a teacher I have taught many different levels of students, ages (from eight years to over 40 years), all abilities and interests (English, Business Studies, Media Studies, Sociology, Study Skills, AP (American), CAM Marketing Diploma and Business Writing). However my expertise is English and I specialise in GCSE and A level students.
Currently I tutor GCSE and A level but also work with people with SEN. I have found that I am particularly successful with those struggling with creative writing, spelling and grammar. Also I have been able to help scientific minds express themselves in writing.

I have considerable experience teaching those on the Autistic Spectrum, students who are dyslexic and those with ADHD/ADD.
