ABOUT ME Ciao! My name is Tiziana and I am Italian. I come from Genoa in Liguria. I have been living in UK for the last 9 year. Teaching is the career that gives me most enjoyment and reward, and the feedback I receive on a regular basis (from students and colleagues) tells me that my enthusiasm for teaching Italian is passed on to my students.

MY QUALIFICATIONS Before I came to the UK I was a qualified teacher in Italy, teaching Italian to children and adults. I have a degree in Pedagogy, which I took in 1995 at the University of Messina.
I have got the qualification for Teaching of Italian, Philosophy and History in Secondary Schools to GCSE/A Level obtained in the year 2000 and the qualification to teach in Nursery and Primary Schools obtained in the year 1995. I registered with the GTCE. I achieved QTS.

MY EXPERIENCE For the last 23 years I have been teaching Italian/Latin (from beginner to post intermediate/advanced level) in many Schools and Italian courses. I have also run courses in Italian for holidays and for business purposes.

MY TEACHING STYLE I enjoy variety in my teaching, and it is also necessary to meet the needs of different students. My teaching style is very friendly and professional. The content of the course is always discussed with the students so I can meet their needs.
As standard practice I use games, quizzes, but the emphasis of activity is on communication and dialogue and we spend a lot of time practicing listening and speaking. My individual tuition focuses even more strongly on conversational Italian, especially where the students have been more advanced.

Given my background and my aptitudes I would be very interested in finding a job as an Italian Tutor in which I believe I could best express myself.
