A Chemistry graduate of Oxford University, I provide friendly and supportive coaching to GCSE, AS and A-level students in Mid-Sussex.

I help my students build confidence and identify their areas of strength and weakness and important gaps in understanding. I provide targeted teaching on topics, techniques or concepts that have the biggest impact on exam outcomes.

For many years I have volunteered as a Brownie Leader, so hold a current enhanced DBS disclosure certificate for this, as well as for my recent secondary school work.

Experience: I worked for 12 years in Information Technology for a multinational insurance company before I had children. From 2011 to June 2023, I worked part-time as a Cover Supervisor in a local secondary school providing maths and science cover, small group revision work and sharing teaching of GCSE & KS3 maths classes. For the last 12 years I have been self-employed as a tutor. I have had success and excellent feedback from my tutees and am happy to provide references, if requested to do so.
