I have 25 years Chemistry teaching experience. I have also been a personal tutor for about 22 years with much success. I have been Head of Chemistry at a Leicestershire 14-18 school for about 14 years.I have a degree in Chemistry from Loughborough University which I did alongside training as an international athlete.
My students have always been very successful and reached their potential and beyond. Indeed, this year one of my students achieved 100% in one Chemistry A-level module and 92% in another. Also, one of my GCSE Chemistry students has achieved 100/100 in the Chemistry 3 Module following the AQA Chemistry syllabus. Another student achieved 100% in all their AQA GCSE Chemistry modules.
I am a Chemistry Examiner for Cambridge International Examinations and have marked papers for both the Foundation and Higher IGCE Chemistry syllabus. I am also now Principal Examiner for IGCSE Chemistry Foundation.I am also an A-level Chemistry Examiner for Singapore Chemistry A-level set in conjunction with Cambridge International Examinations. I feel that all these roles have helped me to recognise the difficulties that students have in answering both GCSE and A-level Chemistry examination questions successfully and I use this knowledge to the students advantage when delivering my lessons.
Recently, I have also been tutoring the Chemistry component of the GAMSAT qualification.

Availability: Weekends, evenings and school holidays.

I also now tutor online using Skype along with email feedback. I also post work sheets and past papers to these students and they return them back. I then mark them and give written feedback which the students find very useful.
Recently I have been tutoring a student using Skype who lives over 100 miles from me - this has been very successful and means I can tutor students who either do not want to travel or live too far away from me for travelling to be an option.
