EFFECTIVE AND ACCESSIBLE MATHS TUTORING FOR STUDENTS OF ALL ABILITIES AND AGES - I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics up to A2 level for many years and I am very proud of the results my students attain. I`ve been told that I`m patient and approachable, which makes me happy because they are qualities that help teachers develop good working relationships with students. I also try to be clear in my explanations and make, what can be a daunting subject, accessible, even to those that have found it hard to access in the past.

Tutoring Approach:
I mostly go to my tutees` homes and tutor for a minimum of one hour, usually once a week, but that does vary because I am flexible and always try to accommodate the individual needs of the client. I have all my own resources, tutoring materials and assessment tests, all of which means that the tutee literally needs to bring him or herself, and that is all.

Availability: Afternoons and evenings during term time and throughout the day during holidays.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: As well as teaching higher GCSE, AS and A2 level throughout my career in schools, I have helped my own clients navigate through their exams successfully. I have also done the same for many years as a maths tutor at a "Kip McGrath Education Centre", where I would work with several students simultaneously each hour. I currently work at Bury Grammar School and before that I worked at Queen Elizabeth`s Grammar School in Blackburn and my specialism is in mechanics at A-level, as well as pure maths.
