Considering the past 10 years, I`ve worked in several schools, teaching secondary maths through the GCSE syllabus, up to A-Level and Further maths.
Currently, I am Head of Maths at Newcastle and Stafford College Group.

As a tutor, I`ve successfully tutored over 500 students.
The majority have been at A-Level, and several at Further Maths / Advanced Extension Award / Oxford MAT exams & similar maths-based entry exams/tests.
Nearly all of these students achieved their target grades for their first-choice University course.
Many have done so by attaining 1-2 grades above their prediction, and progressed to gain First Class degrees in subjects such as economics, law, maths, science and engineering. Several gained places at top UK Universities (incl Oxbridge) and abroad (incl Ivy League).

I believe I motivate students to learn how to learn for themselves effectively, as well as obviously helping them understand the various concepts, methods and processes involved in maths.

I`m fully conversant with each syllabus for all of the exam boards in the new-style maths exams at GCSE, iGCSE, A-Level, Further Maths and I-Bac. I`m also available for tuition to help with QTS tests, UK-CAT, B-MAT, SATS (for USA) and Oxbridge entry exams.

Availability: Mon - Fri 5pm to 9.30pm.
Sat - I will only consider exceptional circumstances.
Sun - 9am to 9.30pm.

Experience: 20+ years.
Many successful passes from previous students who have always achieved (mostly surpassing) their own target grades.

I have marked papers at GCSE and A-Level for all of the exam boards, including the new exams that we saw for the first time in June 2018, and so bring greater understanding of the syllabus and requirements of the exam to my students.
