Information about Sarah
I am a graduate of English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and moved to London to continue my studies at postgraduate level. I am a patient and friendly tutor and will happily teach KS3, GCSE, A-Level and IB English, as well as working on drama/theatre studies and other essay based subjects. I currently work as a tutor and as a lecturer, as well as working within the performing arts. Last year all of my students achieved 8/9 or A/A* grades in their GCSE English Literature and Language papers, surpassing their predicted grades.
Review from former student (contact details available upon request):
`Sarah is an outstanding tutor. She taught me during my final year of GCSEs for English, taking me from D grades and helping me achieve an A in my final exam. Sarah understood not only where I was going wrong, but helped me to overcome that. I would recommend her to anyone struggling with English.
Overall, Sarah has a great personality for tutoring. She`s friendly, patient, very easy to get on with, and inspiring: everything you would want from a tutor.`

My Year 11 son is really enjoying working with Sarah - in fact, he described his tutoring sessions with her as "fun". She is friendly, organised, supportive and creative. She helps him use the key vocabulary and has greatly improved his writing - even after only six weeks. She is responsive to any questions or issues I raise, and she is always punctual for his lessons. Honestly, I am so happy she`s working with Sean and we are going to continue for all of Year 11, right up to his GCSEs. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone needing an English tutor.

I wanted a tutor because my Y8 daughter was struggling with her in depth analysis in her English literature classes at school. I am very impressed with Sarah who was able to identify the issues, guide her though passages and help her regain her confidence in writing. It has only been a few weeks and my daughter is really enjoying her lessons and her grades in English, History and Geography have all improved.
