I offer the following services:

GCSE & A-LEVEL EXAM PREPARATION
My young pupils do well in exams and enjoy their learning thanks to my sense of humour, over 10 years` experience of working with teenagers and using my profound subject knowledge to encourage their curiosity. In addition, I adjust the teaching to children`s individual abilities, needs and interests.

RUSSIAN FOR BUSINESS and TRAVEL:
The 30 hrs Beginner course will equip you for trade and travel as well as to continue improving your Russian independently on the completion of this module.

I provide one-to-one and corporate group courses of various lengths at your business premises from beginner to advanced level. My latest group of 7 adult learners have succeeded in GCSE Russian exam (two A* and five A grades) after only 6 months of learning the language from an absolute `zero`.

RUSSIAN FOR NATIVES:
RF primary and secondary curriculum in Russian language and Literature also deepens the knowledge of Russian culture and history.

PIANO.
As a piano teacher, I am not afraid to give and take the challenge of coaching my pupils at a higher level should their potential to exceed their current grade. I organise annual concerts to enhance the students` performance confidence. All my piano pupils who sat examinations in summer 2019 were awarded MERITS (120+ marks out of 150).

MUSIC THEORY Level 1-5 Study group
Start - October 2019

The Level 5 Music Theory certificate is a pre-requisite for level 6, 7 and 8 practical music assessment. This means that one is not allowed to sit a Level 6 practical examination (for any instrument) without holding the Music Theory Certificate Level 5 or above.

How easy is it to gain this Certificate?

The theory is the maths of music – and the Level 5 examination paper in this subject may be even more challenging than GCSE Mathematics. And just like maths, music theory requires a systematic approach to learning and teaching, knowledge of a large amount of information and regular written exercises.

Besides access to Level 6 practical examinations, the BENEFITS of knowing music theory include:
- Understanding the language of musical expression
- Greater ability of a young musician to work unaided
- Memorising instrumental pieces 2-3 times faster and more easily
- Higher marks in the aural test (part of the practical examinations)
- Improved sight-reading skills (part of the practical examinations)
- Skills in playing music by ear
- Skills in music composition
- Improved general logical and analytical thinking
