I am a qualified(PGCE. IOE, University of London), experienced teacher of Computer science for A-Level and GCSE. I have been teaching Computer science for 18 years now. I have a first-class Masters` degree in computer science from India. Apart from teaching in the UK since 2001, I have worked as a software engineer in India for 2 years. My experience in the industry has given me essential exposure to the practicalities of computer science that many classroom teachers miss.
I have been an examiner with OCR for Computer Science. This has significantly enhanced my teaching ability to guide the students as per the specification and mark scheme rather than a ‘hit and miss approach`.
Having been taught in a classroom of 12-30, I can see the enormous benefits and demand of one-to-one teaching. My students enjoy my lessons as they find me patient and approachable. I have good computer facilities at home to aid in learning.
