Richard

My name is Richard. I have a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Kent in which electronics, maths and physics played a large role.

During my time at university I spent a lot of time playing musical parts in stage productions and university festivals.

Availability: I am able to teach within Northampton and am flexible with times and am usually available during weekends.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I started tutoring ICT formally to a mature student when I was 15 after a presentation I had done about how computers work. The student had no prior knowledge of computers and had never used one before. I left the student feeling comfortable using a computer in his day to day life and for tasks at work.

During my A Levels I spent time informally tutoring maths to a GCSE student with very pleasing results, helping the student obtain a B at GCSE having previously struggled to get a passing grade.

Along side my degree, I gave piano lessons on a weekly basis to a Masters student and since graduation I have spent time teaching the guitar. During these lessons I gave tuition in both practical and theoretical aspects.
