Education is and will always be a huge passion of mine. Working with young people and seeing first hand the progress they make is inspiring. As an English practitioner I have been teaching for 15 years and over time have developed a unique teaching style that builds confidence in my clients. I have many years tutoring experience from primary age to A Level and create a professional environment that is both relaxed and fun - because after all, although learning should be challenging, it needs to be enjoyable too and I make that happen.

I currently work in a secondary school as an English Subject Specialist - Lead Practitioner, where I work with the English department, helping them to improve their teaching and learning practice so more students can obtain the best results possible. Lockdown has been hard on all of us, but the students I taught were able to achieve excellent results because I invested in them and they were invested in my teaching practice.

Being a GCSE and A Level English examiner has allowed me to provide my students with first hand knowledge of what the board is looking for. I tailor make lessons with this in mind, so you’ll have the upmost confidence knowing you’ll be exam ready!

I pride myself on my results and I consistently undertake research to learn about new strategies I could explore within my teaching practice to keep it relevant and fresh. I recognise that every person has a different way of learning and I use your way to your advantage. I am well organised and patient whilst pushing you to achieve your full potential.

Availability: I am available on weekday evenings and possibly Saturday mornings. Specific days and times will be discussed when I am contacted.

Experience: I have been teaching English for 15 years and have been involved in the marking and moderating of exam papers. I have worked with a large number of students who are high flyers as well as those who really struggle and all students have achieved academically.
