Information about Ria
I am an experienced English educator with a Masters degree in English and a proven track record of helping students excel from primary school to the International Baccalaureate (IB) level. Currently serving as Head of English at an international school, I bring a wealth of expertise in curriculum design, exam preparation, and personalised learning strategies.
With years of teaching experience across a wide range of ages and abilities, I specialise in building students confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking. My approach blends academic rigour with creativity, ensuring lessons are both engaging and results-driven. Whether your child needs support in mastering foundational skills, preparing for GCSEs, A Level examinations, or excelling in IB English Language and Literature, I provide tailored guidance to help them reach their full potential.
My goal is simple: to inspire a love for learning while equipping students with the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Availability: Lessons are held exclusively online, making high-quality English tuition accessible wherever you are. With flexible scheduling to suit students across different time zones, I am available for sessions on weekday evenings and weekends to suit your timetable.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been teaching English for 15 years and have been involved in the marking and moderating of exam papers. I have worked with a large number of students who are high flyers as well as those who really struggle and all students have achieved academically.
