I am a freelance artist with a previous professional backgrounding botanical research and development/practice. I originally started drawing whilst studying in the days when we had to do microscope, dissection and anatomical drawings! but over the years have drawn, painted and worked with materials from pencil and water-colour to glass, wax, plaster and string.
I enjoy experimentation in my art practice and accuracy in science.
I have a family and understand the stress of exams but enjoy teaching all ages from under 8 years to over 100 .
I enjoy working with a diverse range of students and often work with young and older people with individual needs for example memory problems, learning and physical restrictions.

My aim is to bring out the individuality of each student in their art work so that a strong personal style develops, within curriculum requirements where necessary.

Availability: Daytime, evenings, weekends depending on availability and distance of travel.
Travel time and costs will be in addition to Tuition Fees

Experience: I`m a practicing artist and tutor/ workshop leader working primarily in the UK.

As a freelance tutor of art with my key skills including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and fine art performance, digital media.

I also run botanical /herbal medicine workshops and field plant identification with drawing.

I have many years experience of freelance workshop facilitation in a range of subjects working with all ages and abilities and disabilities.

My previous professional experience is in botanical research and development and practice and oral history collection for a Remembered Remedies database at RBGKew
