Information about Christopher
Of my Law and Maths students, 25% attained an A*and 35% attained an A grade at A-Level last year. I have extensive experience delivering the year 7 to 11 Maths curriculum to both children and adults, and Law at all levels. I hold a Law degree, a PGCE, a teaching qualification for the delivery of Maths, a Masters degree in Sociology of Education and am currently studying for a PhD in Education. Very friendly and able to identify the individual learning needs of my students.
During my six years of employment in schools and collegess, KS3 Maths, GCSE Maths and GCSE Law, A-Level Maths and A-Level Law. Of my 23 A2 students that left in May 2014, 25% attained an A*and 35% attained an A grade. All but one learner attained a minimum of a C grade and no learner failed their course of study. This degree of outcome has been replicated with my current cohort of students, 50% of which attained an A grade at AS. These learners achieved significantly higher grades than predictions that were based on their performance in other A-Level choices and prior GCSE assessments. Further to this I have tutored Law at undergraduate level, ensuring students attain 2.1 outcomes.
I utilise direct questioning at a suitable level for the individual learner and adopt appropriate teaching methods for the learning of more complex issues

I have received three consecutive `excellent` reports on my practice in the classroom.
I deliver lessons that are prepared with up to date knowledge of developments in the subject matter and curriculum requirements. Hand-outs and PowerPoint resources will always accompany lessons.
Prefer to keep things informal and friendly. I deliver in 2-3 hour teaching blocks. I do not teach 1 hour long classes.
