I have been tutoring maths and physics for over 20 years. I specialise in A level physics but also teach A level Maths and Gcse in each subject. I prefer to teach online as I find it the most effective method.

In terms of exam boards my main specialism is AQA A level physics where I am able to teach all of the option papers eg Turning Points and also of course their Paper 3 practical.

My approach is to build lessons around the very latest past paper questions pertinent to the requirements of each student.

I offer support to each student outside tutoring sessions by answering any questions they may have. There is no charge for this.

I focus on teaching fundamentals based around the types of exam question students can expect.

I also concentrate on the best strategies that students should use to do well in their exams. This type of approach cannot be effectively duplicated using AI as it requries knowledge of individual students specific abilities.

I have a BSc in Engineering and BA in Mathematics. Both of these courses having a high level of physics content. I am also a member of The Institution of Electrical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer.

Availability: Mainly available during the afternoons/evenings, but also some weekends.

Experience: My experience ranges from KS2 up to degree level engineering and maths. I specialise in the A Level Physics specifications. I have worked as a college lecturer and held various managerial positions in industry involving the solution of complex engineering and mathematical problems. I am currently semi-retired and also take on occasional consultancy work in engineering and IT.
