Going into my sixth year as a professional tutor, my experience is extensive.
I`ve helped children through 10+ and 11+ entry exams, prepared them for selective schools with Common Entrance, supported them through the trials of GCSE and A Level and guided them into university, including Oxbridge and Ivy League schools.
The joy of tutoring is the dedicated time when I can focus solely on the needs of the individual child or student, adapting what I offer to match their needs. It`s a privilege to be invited into the family home and to work with kids and young people in this way.
Having worked in the innovative Academic Mentoring department at Latymer Upper School (a highly selective co-ed London day school), I have a thorough understanding of the academic and social challenges and opportunities that children and young adults meet today in an increasingly competitive educational landscape and I get great satisfaction from helping them to navigate this. If your child is dealing with aspergers or dyslexia / dyspraxia issues, I may be able to help.
Occasionally, I work with actors preparing for auditions or working on text-heavy productions like Shakespeare. If this is you, I`m especially keen to hear from you.
I work primarily in the West London area, from Chiswick to Kensington, though I can travel further afield as necessary. I am happy to chat on the phone about any tutoring challenge, without any obligations, and sometimes refer parents on to others who can help.
