I am a friendly tutor who believes that tuition must start from where the pupil is at in terms of both his/her confidence and ability level. My aim is to get to know the pupil and establish both the areas in which he/she may be struggling and the areas of strength.It is then that I can aim to take their learning forward. I feel that it is important for a pupil be confident and happy with their learning. I believe that pupils learn best when they are enjoying themselves so I therefore aim to make the work as much fun as possible! It is important that each session provides opportunities for challenge but also encourages the pupils to work at their own pace.

Availability: I am available in the daytime during weekends and also evenings after school. I am flexible to suit your needs. I feel that it is important to use holiday times as an opportunity to boost your child`s learning to support their studies when they go back to school.

Experience: I am a Teacher with a wealth of experience across KS1 and KS2. I was trained as a one to one tutor by the Local Authority. As a result I worked with several Year 5 pupils after school to boost their progress so that they were able to achieve their target grades in Year 6 SATS. Since then I have tutored a number of pupils across the Primary age range with a variety of different learning needs. In the day I enjoy my work as a Supply Teacher at various schools in and around Leicester and Leicestershire. I have a good geographical knowledge and am willing to come to your home to enable your child to feel comfortable to aid learning.
