Information about Michael
Now semi-retired, I have been teaching maths for the past 25 years at various colleges in the north east. Over recent years I have also tutored on a one-to-one basis and have helped many learners achieve their desired grade at GCSE Maths. I am willing to teach online if that is preferable. I have the reputation of being both a good listener and patient with my students.
Recently have been helping learners who are challenged with dyscalculia and need to find alternative ways of ‘seeing’ number.
I am noted (by my wife) for going beyond the stipulated hour. If something needs talking about, I don’t like to walk away.
Availability: I am available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (occasionally weekends)

My son is very pleased with his tuition and relieved that we now have Michael to help in the areas he finds difficult. Michael is patient and has a good way explaining. We are much more confident that he will achieve the grade he needs.

Michael is a very accommodating and approachable tutor, his family have also made me feel comfortable. I am slowly becoming more confident in my maths skills. The only downside to this website is the charge to contact the tutors, however Michael waived the fee for his first session to compensate for this.
