A highly experienced and qualified Science teacher, with a degree and PhD in medical biochemistry. I am Head of Science at a school where I teach A level chemistry and biology, and all sciences at GCSE and KS3.

I offer lessons in a friendly and relaxed environment, and I work hard to motivate my students to push themselves further.

Availability: Weekdays: late afternoons/evenings or daytime in the holidays.
Weekends: anytime.

Experience: I have had great exam success rates by the students I`ve taught. An example is an A2 biology student who was achieving a U grade at college and ended up acheiving a B grade with my help.

I have taught in a popular secondary school which has a sixth form college for 11 years and my students all achieve their target grades. I am a GCSE and A Level examiner for the exam board AQA which I believe further enhances my students grades, since I know exactly what exam boards are looking for in students answers, and so I target exam technique practice around this.

My method of teaching is catered for by the needs of individual students. I can help with theory of key scientific concepts, coursework and exam preparation. I have access to a wealth of past exam questions and I use these at the end of each lesson to ensure the student can apply their knowledge and understanding, since this is what students are being assessed upon.

I have been told I have the ability to explain difficult concepts in clear and precise language that makes it easier for students to understand. I am patient and approachable, and endeavour to ensure all students have a secure and confident knowledge in the science subject.
