Information about Matt
Fun and knowledgeable, I have been teaching in both independent and state schools in southern England for over 14 years making physics accessible and fun to all pupils. Prior to this I taught at the University of Bristol while I was researching a PhD. I have performed real physics experiments at CERN and high magnetic field facilities in the USA and The Netherlands. I am an experienced GCSE and A level examiner and question setter who is able to prepare students for examinations and I have significant experience of helping students prepare for university admissions tests for Oxford and Cambridge. I have also contributed to Physics content in the recent redesign of BBC Bitesize.
Availability: Evenings and Weekends. Weekdays over schools holidays.

Experience: I have been tutoring for 14 years and have successfully helped students achieve excellent grades in GCSE and A level Maths and Physics. I am an experienced classroom teacher and I am currently Head of Physics at a grammar school. I am a senior exam marker and question setter for a number of exam boards.

My son is currently being tutored by Matt for his A-level Physics. He finds Matt extremely knowledgeable and excellent at explaining topics. His focus on exam style questions and detailed knowledge of the exam system are helping my son to develop a deeper understanding for the hardest questions, which is improving his exam technique. I would definitely recommend Matt as a tutor.
