Information about Megan
I graduated with a First Class Honours in Fine Art in June 2018 from the prestigious City & Guilds of London Art School. Prior to this, I achieved a distinction in my Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Oxford Brookes University and studied Law at the University of Nottingham for one year. I left Law to pursue my true dream of being an artist/working within the arts.
I went to sixth form at Vyners School in Ickenham, Uxbridge. I am a hard working, reliable person who is dedicated to helping other people. I want to spread my knowledge to younger children and help them exceed in their studies. I believe in encouraging creativity and nurturing each child`s own passions.
I take a fun, encouraging approach to tutoring and like to make all my students feel comfortable in their learning. I create many exciting activities for younger children, helping them to learn in many different ways - visually, kinetically and auditory. I work out which methods are best for each student and create personal plans according to their learning style. For those older children, I will target problem areas and work with them to overcome this before ultimately working towards practice exam questions. I am also happy to go through any homework my students are struggling with in that subject.
Full, clean UK driving license and car owner.

Experience: I am a pottery teacher, artist and writer. I have had experience tutoring children from ages 7-17 in subjects such as Art, English and Mathematics. I have also helped students with homework in other subjects, such as Geography.
I have worked with children a lot before both inside and outside the school environment. At school I was a coach and mentored younger children to help them gain confidence in their academic studies. I have also been a helper in maths, chemistry and art classes, encouraging children and offering advice to those who struggle. Furthermore, I have been a year 8 reader, where I worked with younger English students on their reading to help them gain confidence and realise their full potential in the subject.
More recently, I have experience assisting in art workshops with children from ages 5-15. I have also run art workshops with adults.
I also have safeguarding training from working with children in a mental health hospital.
