I have had an interest in both learning and speaking other languages for a long time, having lived and studied abroad in Germany, Holland and Australia. I feel this experience has helped me as a teacher to really understand the challenges that learners can face when studying English. In 2003 I made the decision to undertake my first qualification in teaching English as a Second Language. I found my passion! In 2010, I set up my own English training company and in 2011 I decided to improve my knowledge and experience and undertake my TESOL diploma. My current business works primarily with corporate executives who come to St Andrews to improve their English, play golf and experience Scottish culture. My specialism is Business English, however I do also teach a great deal of general and academic English. I am delighted to say that I have had excellent feedback from each and every one of my students.

I live in the St Andrews area, and have my own transport. I am able to either come to your home, meet at a venue in St Andrews or you are also welcome to come to my home in Crail (which is on the bus line and situated just 20 minutes outside of St Andrews).

I am able to assist you with improving all areas of your English communication skills - grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the 4 skill areas - reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

I will work with you to determine your specific objectives and together we can help you to become a more confident and accurate communicator in English!

Availability: I`m available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and some Friday evenings (anytime from 5.00pm) I am also available during the mornings on Saturday and Sunday.

Experience: I began teaching with the Stirling School of English as an ESOL tutor at the beginning of 2009. In June I obtained my CELTA qualification and I moved into full time employment with The International Summer School of Scotland immediately following this. In 2010 I started my own English language training company based in St Andrews. We work primarily with corporate executives who are looking to learn English while enjoying an experience of Scotland. Aside to this, I have worked with a variety of students and lecturers from overseas who are looking to improve their English communication skills.
