I`m afraid that I would not recommend this tutor.
I took my 16 year old daughter to one meeting with her, and it was a disaster.
To begin with, she had a very rushed teaching manner, and bombarded my daughter with questions. The room in which the tutor taught was very small, with an offputting central light and no desk.
The tutor`s property was very difficult to find, as it was actually joined onto another house, with no number on the door. As a result of this, we were 10 minutes late for the appointment.When we first arrived, she wasted time by telling me about her cancellation policy, and told me details of how to pay.
When I asked what time I should collect my daughter, I assumed it would be quarter past eight, as we had arrived at nearly quarter past seven.However, I was told to come back for eight o`clock ie she charged me £30 for three quarter`s of an hour tuition!
Then when I arrived to collect my daughter, the tutor asked me to recommend her to anyone I knew who needed a tutor, with a half price lesson as a thankyou.
I felt this was very unprofessional when we had only just met her.
When I contacted Maureen with my concerns, and to say my daughter would not be coming again, I had no reply.
My advice is for anyone considering this tutor is to ask for a free trial lesson first.
