I am currently a Science teacher in Hartlepool, and I have been a teacher for over 4 years now. I am also an examiner for 3 of the major exam boards, where I have worked for the past 3 years.
During my time at university, I gained first class honours graduate in Applied Biology from Northumbria University. I am also a volunteer with a company called Friends Action North East, where I help adults with learning difficulties in social situations. Through this I have gained qualifications in visual awareness, safe-guarding and first aid, which I feel is very helpful for those people looking for a tutor to help pupils with special educational needs. I am also enhanced DBS checked.
I feel that I can offer a great advice as well as quality teaching, and I put all my effort in making sure that my teaching method is beneficial for the student. With my recent tutees, I understand they all learn differently, and have been able to adapt my method in which has proved successful in their learning, whether it be powerpoint presentations, exam style questions or additional work outside of the session.

Availability: I am able to both weekdays and weekends, with weekdays in the evening and weekends all day

Experience: I`m currently a qualified teacher, teaching Chemistry as my specialism, however work across all the sciences at GCSE, with Chemistry and Biology at A Level. I have a first-class honours degree in Biology from Northumbria University. I have an enhanced DBS, which is available on request.
I now own my own tutoring business, where I can teach Maths, English and Science according to the national curriculum, at KS3 and KS4. I teach individually or in groups that are no bigger than 5, making sure the students get the maximum amount of my time. Group bookings will be discounted, as well as discount when wanting over 1 hour per week.
