I am an enthusiastic, friendly, qualified teacher with a passion for Science! I am a full time teacher, currently employed by the top performing school in Somerset (and am the course coordinator for all GCSE science qualifications) and am CRB checked.

I am friendly, patient and approachable. My approach to tutoring is to break down the topics to make them as straightforward as possible, and by relating them to everyday examples. I am thorough in my research and preparation, ensuring that the students get taught everything relevant to their qualification. This allows them to build confidence in the subject, and to do well and succeed in the exams.

I encourage students to ask questions, and am a firm believer in working at the pace of the student. Allowing them to dictate the pace of the tutorials, and only progressing to the next topic when they feel ready.

I have experience of teaching in three different schools across the south west, and my exam results show a large number of children excelling in my lessons and achieving results above their target grades. I also have experience of teaching many different science qualifications from different exam boards, and I keep myself up to date with any changes or revisions to these science qualifications. This ensures that I know exactly what your child needs to know for their particular course.

In addition to this I also have experience of private tuition (one to one and small groups).
