THEY SAY ABOUT ME AS A TEACHER
They said about Ms Lucia , Italian Teacher from 2006 to 2011 at Cheney Language College, Oxford and St. Gregory the Great School, Oxford.JOHN HOTSON AND JOHN HOTSON`S PARENTS COMMENTS
Lucia has prepared our son, John Hotson (15 year old), for his GCSE in Italian (2009/10) and for his AS level (2010/11) in Italian (private candidate). John has achieved the highest possible grades in both exams: A* at GCSE level and A at AS level (note that there is no A* at AS level). Lucia is an outstanding teacher – indeed the best, most dedicated, competent, enthusiastic teacher John has ever had in his scholastic career. She is full of ideas, creative, cheerful, punctual, and pro-active. She loves her job and is exceptionally good at it. We recommend her most highly to any school or family as a truly brilliant teacher.

- Miss has been an amazing and inspiring teacher. She cared a lot about us doing well and she would do anything to help us if we did not know something. Her lessons were always varied and interesting and she would always make us speak in italian during the lessons (no English) to make us feel more comfortable with using the language, which really helped. She would always give us extra work and make time for us outside of lessons if there was something we didn`t understand. Above all she made me think that if I only try hard, I can achieve anything I want. Definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had! ( September 2011)

Having been taught by Miss for AS Italian, I am sure in saying that she is an inspiring person and teacher. The effort and energy she has put into teaching our class and each individual has been undeniable and as a result, she has helped me achieve a grade A in AS Italian. Miss has helped me learn so much over the past year and has made me want to continue studying Italian because of her genuine passion both for language and for teaching. ( September 2011)

The fact that Ms. ’s native tongue is Italian was incredibly useful for me during my AS year. Not only did it mean that she was a walking dictionary and thesaurus with a vocabulary bigger than any I could find in my textbooks, but also that conversing with her in Italian was more beneficial than any other aspect of my course. Naturally, her Italian was perfect, which helped me to grow accustomed to how an Italian speaks, how I should replicate that and generally tune my Italian ear. In terms of grammar she was also a font of knowledge, being able to provide us with an understanding of all aspects of the language and more commonly used colloquialisms not found in any books. This familiarity with Italian culture also came in useful with giving us authentic resources that she had (presumably) grown up with, such as articles from La Repubblica and radio and television sources. To me she was the archetypal Italian – funny, caring, and good-natured, which, combined with her quality of teaching, made her an excellent teacher! ( September 2011)

Signora has been an invaluable and inspiring teacher this year. Every single lesson was well prepared and useful, she always listened when you had a problem and needed help, and most of all she was so hard-working and committed to every single one of her students. In the run-up to the oral exam, I could not have asked for a better teacher. She was constantly marking and correcting work so that we could learn as much as possible in preparation, and she undoubtedly improved the Italian of every single person in her classroom. I am incredibly grateful to her for being so enthusiastic, encouraging and charismatic, ensuring that Italian lessons were always a pleasure. ( September 2011)
