Hello,

I am currently taking bookings for February and March onwards. I can offer tuition by Zoom, and in the future potentially meet you face to face, following social distancing guidelines. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.

I am an experienced professional teacher of A Level History. I also offer coaching for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and for GCSE and IGCSE History. In addition, I coach at undergraduate level.

I am a very experienced senior teacher, having taught for over twenty five years. Most recently I trained teachers at the University of Southampton. Prior to that, I taught A. Level History and Critical Thinking at Barton Peveril (Grade 1) sixth form college. I have worked as an examiner for Edexcel and the International Baccalaureate and therefore have a very good knowledge of how to improve for exam success.

I am experienced in helping students prepare for examinations from GCSE upwards. I begin with an initial assessment of the student`s strengths and weaknesses and will then tailor an individual programme to maximise learning. I will assess and build on core knowledge, offer strategies that aid memory recall and spend focused time on perfecting essay technique and exam strategies. I am very accustomed to helping students with different learning needs such as those with dyslexia and will help students find the most practical and enjoyable way to prepare for course work and exams.
