Information about Amanda
An experienced teacher and mentor, currently working in Secondary Education teaching History and Humanities. I enjoy working closely with students and their parents in order to increase knowledge, skills and confidence in their chosen subject setting targets and reviewing progress frequently. Lessons are fun and flexible and completely tailored to the individual student`s needs.
My specialism is in History and Humanities, however, I am also experienced in tutoring English to GCSE level.
First sessions are free of charge with no commitment necessary.
Availability: Evenings and Weekends
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: Experience classroom teaching a wide range of exam specifications at GCSE and A level, and a large number of topics at KS3.
7 years mentoring experience, ranging from students in KS2 - A level.
Experience working to improve reading level of children with learning difficulties at Heanor Gate Academy.

Very helpful and flexible, my friend and I have had two a level history sessions with Mandy and already feel as though we are progressing. She builds the lessons around your needs and what you want to work on, and makes the topics engaging so that they are easy to remember.
