A 33 year old fully qualified Spanish tutor available for private lessons, in South Birmingham and surrounding areas. I have a 2:1 degree in Spanish and Business Studies, and have studied at the University of Manchester for a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Modern Foreign Languages, Secondary School teaching. I lived in Murcia, Spain for 12 months, studying at the Universidad de Murcia, and lived in Miami, Florida working as a translator and interpreter for a international cruise company. I am currently studying for a MA in Translation (Spanish > English) and am also TEFL qualified. You can be assured that you will be receiving a quality and native-level session, with a young, fun, yet professional adult.

I am well versed with the AQA, Edexcel and OCR curricula and have taught all three at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

I am willing to travel in order to be of service, though may require fuel costs to be covered if the distance is substantial.

Availability: Weeknights from 6:30pm and all weekends.

Experience: I currently tutor seven different students of all ages and levels, including GCSE, A Level, beginner and casual learning. My tutees range from 7 years old, to adult, and I apply a range of teaching styles, methods and approaches to tailor make each class to the relevant student. I have also privately tutored English to two Spanish girls whilst living in Murcia, helped them develop their grammatical accuracy, achieve flowing conversation, and helped give them transferable skills to communicate and manipulate the language, rather than teaching set phrases. In addition, I privately tutored an A-Level student prior to her exams, and assisted in helping her reach a level of confidence and fluency with the language. I have also taught in a Bolton Secondary school, teaching from ages 11-18, both Spanish and French, and studied for a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages.
