I am a Cambridge maths graduate with over 32 years of experience specialising in maths tuition up to GCSE and A-level ( including further maths ). I enjoy working with young people and helping them to improve their maths skills. I have a lot of patience.

I have been teaching children online for 7 years so I have the experience and resources to help. Lessons take place using Zoom, I will return to face to face teaching when I feel that it is safe to do so
. I show questions on the screen and can write working out using my graphics tablet. I can help y11s and y13s to work towards their GCSE and A level exams next summer and provide support for y10s and y12s who are starting their GCSE or A level courses.

I have tutored many students to pass their QTS tests to become trainee teachers.

I am easy to get on with and extremely patient. I believe in getting students to talk about their understanding of maths so that I can build on what they know and find out what they have not yet understood.

For online tutoring I can provide help with past paper exam questions and school work using an interactive whiteboard and microphone. This saves time on travelling.

I don`t offer a free trial for face to face lessons ( I am a professional tutor ) but am happy to meet students and parents before beginning lessons.

Availability: Being self-employed I am reasonably flexible and usually see pupils for one hour a week after school or during the school day for A-level students or adult learners.
