I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English Literature and Language in 2010 and have been tutoring regularly since then. I am currently working as an intervention specialist, teaching years 5 and 6 at a Primary School two days a week. I also have a degree in professional acting from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and therefore regularly combine elocution into my tuition sessions. I also recently obtained a distinction certificate of higher education from Birkbeck University in counselling practice which covers child development.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that if the person I am working with is relaxed and feeling at ease then a better quality of learning is likely to develop - I therefore make steps to ensure that the atmosphere while I am teaching is a positive one and often draw on my understanding on psychology to achieve this.

Availability: Very available during the weekdays and weekends currently.

Experience: I have been tutoring since I graduated from Oxford in 2010 and am currently teaching years 5 and 6 2 days a week at a primary school. I have taught key stage 1,2&3, GCSE, AS&A Levels, degree level through to adult learners and English as a foreign language.I also teach 4+, 7+, 8+ 11+, 13+ and 16+ examinations and have been consistently successful in getting students into top independent schools.

I am highly experienced with working with children with specific learning difficulties and also have huge success in working with young adults on their personal statements for universities in particular Oxford and Cambridge.

I am also a drama and voice teacher and have helped prepare young actors for top drama school auditions (Guildhall, RADA, LAMDA etc) with excellent results.

I am also available to teach basic study and organisational skills.
I have several years nannying experience.
