I qualified as an 11-18 secondary school teacher in 2003, after achieving a first class honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Bath. I have worked as a private tutor since 2007, covering the three main examination boards and helping many students attain the grades required to access their chosen university courses. My students say they appreciate my approachable teaching style and I always aim to adapt my tuition to the needs of each student - whether this means covering a complete topic from the beginning, working on a particular problem area until it `clicks` (particularly calculations!) or developing exam technique. I am willing to go over a topic as many times as it takes, using various methods, until it is fully understood.

Availability: I currently have availability at various times throughout the week. I can offer early morning or later evening sessions online, which may suit college students. I also have some availability during school hours and evenings. Lessons can be arranged to suit students` home learning timetables.
