Information about Laurence
I have recently returned to the UK after 2 years in Prague teaching Business Studies and English to Czech businessmen.
I have been a Tutor and Lecturer in Business Studies for the BA(Hons) Music Business Degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. I have been tutoring AS and A level Business Studies for over two years with considerable success for my students.
I combine this work with Business Consultancy for Copernicus International and have direct responsibility for developing Spanish clients.
My aim is to pass on some of my business experience and achieve in my students an interest in the financial and commercial world around them rather than just seeing Business Studies as an academic exercise.
Availability: My availability is usually flexible subject usually to a week`s notice.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: From successful portfolio management in banking, through consulting, setting up and running new starts in financial and legal services, I have broad expertise in strategic and financial planning in varying disciplines.
I have latterly been lecturing and tutoring Business Studies for over two years.

Laurence has been an absolute asset as a tutor for my son for his A level Business Studies course. Laurence is extremely personable, has extensive business knowledge and experience/expertise, he makes the sessions interesting and informative, and the regular sessions have dramatically improved my son`s performance in this subject. Laurence is very easy to communicate with, always on time and reliable and we will miss seeing him when A levels have been and gone and these weekly sessions are no longer needed. Highly recommended!

Laurence has been tutoring my son in AS business studies for 8 months. It`s always difficult selecting a tutor from a website and not from a personal recommendation, but from Day 1, I couldn`t have been more delighted. Laurence formed a good working relationship with my son quickly and helped instill confidence and understanding. Having had a career in business and now teaching, Laurence has a vast knowledge of the subject, is a great teacher and communicator and was able to identify the weaker areas quickly.
